Musical Theatre Singers Preparation
This workshop is a collaboration between vocal coaches Scott Harrison and Aaron Newland-Bentley.
We are becoming more aware of the reality of our international situation regarding personal development and growth during lockdowns and social distancing. So we have created an answer for this to give singers the tools they need to be self-reliant and take ownership over their own practice and preparation.
This online training is for any student or singer wishing to learn more about structuring their own progress throughout Summer and beyond as well as the preparations you can make to ensure maximum success in your next year of study.
We will talk about some of the training structures that we have put into place with our own students, as well as provide a framework of the kinds of topics students should be working towards. This will include: in-depth repertoire selection and rep folder building, a toolkit of things you need to prepare, functional anatomy and physiology and suggested reading as well as a chance to chat and chat together and answer all of your questions.
The aim is to give you the students and singers the power and confidence to take control of your training and make effective choices for next year!
We will frame this around several different levels of achievement, making this course suitable for everyone currently in full-time drama training and beyond.
